The Role

This is an architecture‑focused role, centred on how data is structured, governed and used across the organisation. It is not a hands‑on data engineering position and it is not aimed at someone looking to step into data architecture for the first time.

You will work with:

* Colleagues across Enterprise Architecture, BI, Data Governance and Technology Services
* Microsoft D365 and a modern medallion‑style data architecture
* Data Architecture Assessments to support project and programme delivery
* The organisation's Data Architecture Framework, helping maintain consistency and good governance
* Translating business requirements into clear, scalable data models and architecture
* Creating and presenting architecture artefacts that make sense to both technical and non‑technical audiences

The organisation is working towards a centralised data platform using Microsoft Fabric, with a strong emphasis on putting the right architecture and models in place before focusing on technology delivery.



What We're Looking For

We're looking for a Data Architect with a solid grounding in data modelling and architecture principles. You should be comfortable designing data structures that support the business over the long term and confident in your architectural judgement.

Key Experience

* Experience in a Data Architecture or architecture‑led role within a complex environment
* Strong understanding of conceptual, logical and physical data modelling
* Knowledge of data modelling methodologies such as 3NF, Kimball and OBT
* A background in data modelling and/or data governance, with experience designing scalable data architectures
* Comfortable working technology‑agnostic, providing architectural oversight rather than hands‑on engineering
* Able to explain architectural concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders, with a curious and thoughtful approach

This role focuses on architecture, design and governance, not hands‑on data engineering.

Data Architect - London - £72k

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the design, governance and evolution of enterprise and project data architectures across a complex Microsoft Dynamics 365 and downstream medallion architecture environment.

This role is responsible for shaping how data is structured, governed and used across new solutions and enhancements. You will carry out structured analysis of data estates and project requirements, translating these into conceptual and logical data models, glossaries, taxonomies and ontologies. You will also map critical data flows and maintain enterprise data models with clear lineage.

A key part of the role is model governance, version control and quality assurance, including the extension and enforcement of standards and policies using Sparx Enterprise Architect, MDG technologies and scripting.

You will work closely with colleagues at all levels of the organisation, as well as external delivery partners, to ensure data architecture supports business objectives, regulatory responsibilities and user needs.

The role reports to the Enterprise Architect and sits within the Digital Services team, working closely with Data Governance, BI, Technology Services and wider business teams.

Key responsibilities include:

* Lead project-level data architecture through structured Data Architecture Assessments (DAAs)
* Own and evolve enterprise data architecture and model governance via the Data Architecture Framework (DAF)
* Administer the model repository, including version control and quality assurance
* Champion the data architecture "store front", educating, mentoring and promoting the DAF, UML and enterprise data models
* Develop and maintain the Data Architecture Roadmap
* Analyse business and technical requirements against the enterprise architecture landscape and recommend appropriate data solutions
* Produce clear, high‑quality architecture artefacts (documents and diagrams) for business stakeholders, SMEs, analysts, governance teams and engineers

Required experience:

* Strong knowledge of DAMA DMBoK
* Expertise in UML conceptual and logical data modelling
* Deep understanding of Transactional, Kimball and One Big Table (OBT) methodologies and their appropriate use cases

* Degree or postgraduate qualification in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)

We are looking for a senior, commercially aware Microsoft Data Architect with deep expertise across the Microsoft data stack - ideally Microsoft Fabric - to play a key role in shaping solutions, building POCs and supporting pre‑sales activity as the practice continues to grow.

Contract Data Architect - London Market - £700/pd

This role sits at the heart of a high-profile broker-side transformation, combining deep London Market expertise with modern data and emerging AI capabilities.

The Opportunity

My London Market broker client is undertaking a strategic data initiative to design a future-state broker data model and clearly define how data integrates across core market and internal systems. The work will directly underpin new digital and AI-enabled capabilities, enabling the broker to offer the London Market something genuinely new in terms of insight, automation, and decision-making.

This is a hands-on architecture role requiring strong engagement with business stakeholders, technology teams, and delivery partners.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and define a broker-centric canonical data model for the London Market
