    Job description

    Systems Manager - Remote - Power BI, Microsoft 365 - Up to £50,000

    I'm working with a well‑established, founder‑led UK retail business that's grown steadily over the last 25+ years and now operates a large, geographically dispersed estate.

    The business is profitable, stable and very pragmatic, but it also knows there's more it can do with its systems, data and reporting. This is a newly created role brought in at a key moment, giving someone the chance to take real ownership of IT and help modernise how the business operates.

    There's no big internal IT team, this suits someone who enjoys being hands‑on, trusted and close to the business, working with external partners and making improvements that make day‑to‑day life easier.

    The Role

    This is a hands‑on Systems Manager role, combining IT ownership with a strong focus on Power BI, reporting and insight. It's not about managing people, it's about keeping systems running smoothly and steadily making things better.

    * Owning IT systems, infrastructure and service delivery across head office and a nationwide store estate
    * Being the main point of contact between the business and external IT providers / MSPs
    * Supporting and developing the Microsoft 365 environment
    * Managing on‑premise systems supporting finance and trading operations
    * Leading and improving Power BI reporting, helping the business get more value from its data
    * Driving practical improvements in automation, reporting and system integration
    * Making sure IT issues are dealt with quickly to avoid disruption across stores

    This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership and variety and likes seeing the direct impact of their work.

    * Strong hands‑on experience across IT systems and infrastructure
    * Solid experience with Power BI and data/reporting environments
    * Confidence working independently without a large internal IT team
    * Experience managing third‑party IT suppliers or MSPs
    * A practical, organised and proactive approach
    * Retail or multi‑site experience is a bonus, but not essential

    Package & Benefits

    * Staff discount scheme
    * Enhanced family benefits
    * Stable, long‑established business with supportive, long‑tenured leadership
    * Opportunity to shape and improve how IT and data support the business
